Ok where do I start. I'm 28 years old, a typical Taurus and I live in the land of
stotties, pease pudding and chavs aka the North East of England. I rent
a little attic flat that I totally adore,it has a fantastic view of the
coast and I could live here forever if weren't for the other
crazy residents.
I
have a quite a small family. There's just my brother, mum, grandad and
a nephew that's on the way. My brother Robert is 21, he's just decided
to move closer to me so it'll be good to spend some quality time with
him when he gets settled. My grandad, also affectionately known by me
as Grumpy, lives a couple of miles away so I go and visit him most
weekends. He's cantankerous, rude and sometimes quite deluded but I
love him dearly. Finally, my mum. She recently got remarried to Bryce
and has emigrated to New Zealand. I miss her a lot but luckily I have
free calls to Kiwi Land and I get to talk to her quite a bit.
As
you know my main interests are reading and photography. Reading has
been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and I own a
ridiculous number of books. These days I use a PDA to read on and it's
a godsend, without it I think my flat would have been over run with
books a long time ago. Of course it also saves me a lot of money too by
downloading instead of buying. A few of my favourite books are To Kill
a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Northern Lights, Quo Vadis, Memoirs of a
Geisha, Neverwhere, The Invisible Man, The Bell Jar, The Blind
Assassin, Dead Souls, Atlas Shrugged and Anna Karenina. I could go on
and on. Some of the authors I love are Janet Evanovich, H.P. Lovecraft,
Kim Harrison, Margaret Atwood and Ian Rankin.
Photography is a
fairly new interest of mine. I've always enjoyed taking pictures but
now I want to take beautiful ones. By no means are the pictures here to
that standard, I have a lot to learn. I've moved on from a point and
shoot to a bridge camera, a Fuji S57000, and one day when I have the
knowledge and the pennies I'd like a dSLR but for now I'll just have to
drool over them.
